The Volunteer Veterinary Club, under the Student Union of Akkhararatchakumari Veterinary College (AVC), collaborated with the Chumphon Provincial Livestock Office, Pathio and Thasae District Livestock Offices, and the Surat Thani Artificial Insemination and Biotechnology Research Center to deliver veterinary services and assist farmers in Pathio District, Chumphon Province.

🐄 During this outreach program, first- to fifth-year veterinary students of AVC gained hands-on clinical experience through the “Volunteer Vet Project” for the academic year 2024. Students worked alongside experienced veterinarians and livestock officers, practicing clinical techniques and supporting animal healthcare in the local farming community. This initiative not only enhanced students’ professional skills, but also helped improve animal health and livestock productivity in terms of both quality and quantity.

🤝 The college expresses its sincere thanks to all participating veterinary professionals, including:
• Dr. Pichai Pokrasang, Senior Veterinarian
• Dr. Ismael Yumadeen, Veterinarian
• Dr. Phaktanat Promboonkaew, Veterinarian, Animal Health Development Group
• Dr. Phimkan Wisetnakul, District Livestock Officer, Pathio District
• Dr. Kamchai Kitsilpa, Senior Veterinarian, Region 8 Livestock Office
• Dr. Pattinawadee Suphakul and team from the Artificial Insemination Research Center

Their support and mentorship provided students with invaluable practical knowledge.

📍 This activity reflects AVC’s strong commitment to social contribution and continuous development of the Thai veterinary profession. The college will continue to promote community outreach programs like this to uplift local farming communities and enhance veterinary education.
