Ready for the Field: Veterinary Students Practice Essential Skills ahead of the Second Volunteer Veterinary Camp
On 13 March 2026, Akkhraratchakumari Veterinary College, Walailak University, organized a preparatory training activity for first- through fourth-year veterinary students ahead of the Second Volunteer Veterinary Camp. The training focused on developing essential skills required for field practice.
Students participated in intensive hands-on training in animal restraint, safe approaches to animals, needle handling, and medication administration in large animals. The training aimed to ensure that students could perform these procedures correctly, confidently, and safely for both the animals and the personnel involved.
The activity represented an important step in preparing veterinary students to apply their knowledge and skills in real-world situations. It also helped foster a spirit of volunteerism and social responsibility before students entered the community to provide veterinary services during the camp.
