Second Volunteer Veterinary Camp Provides Students with Field Experience and Strengthens Their Spirit of Service
Akkhraratchakumari Veterinary College, Walailak University, organized the Second Volunteer Veterinary Camp, providing first- through fourth-year veterinary students with the opportunity to gain practical experience while delivering veterinary services to local communities.
During the camp, students applied the knowledge and skills acquired during their preparatory training, including animal restraint, safe approaches to animals, needle handling, and medication administration in large animals. Faculty members and veterinarians provided close supervision to ensure that all activities were carried out correctly, confidently, and safely for both the animals and the personnel involved.
The camp provided students with valuable practical experience while strengthening their professional skills, spirit of volunteerism, and sense of social responsibility. These experiences contribute to preparing veterinary students to become competent professionals who are ready to serve their communities.
