Fourth-year veterinary students at Akkhararatchakumari Veterinary College, Walailak University, participated in a practical training session on “Paravertebral Nerve Block in Cattle” as part of the course VET65-454 Large Animal Surgery.

The activity was conducted under the close supervision of expert faculty members. Students practiced administering local anesthesia along the paravertebral nerves of cattle, a widely used technique in large animal surgery to ensure animal safety and reduce pain during surgical procedures.

This learning experience not only reinforced the students’ theoretical understanding but also provided them with essential hands-on skills crucial for their future veterinary practice. It helped build their confidence and preparedness for working in the field of large animal surgery.
