Veterinary College Conducts Additional Dog and Cat Sterilization Campaign to Reduce Stray Populations and Prevent Rabies
Akkhraratchakumari Veterinary College, Walailak University, organized a follow-up dog and cat sterilization campaign to help control animal populations, reduce the number of stray animals, and lower the risk of rabies, an important zoonotic disease.
The campaign involved 125 participants, including faculty members, scientists, and first- through fifth-year veterinary students, who worked together to provide veterinary services.
In addition to benefiting the community, the activity provided students with an important opportunity to gain practical experience in a real-world setting under the supervision of experienced faculty members. The experience contributed to the development of their professional knowledge and practical skills in preparation for future veterinary practice.
