Veterinary College Conducts Additional Dog and Cat Sterilization Campaign to Reduce Stray Populations and Prevent Rabies
Akkhraratchakumari Veterinary College, Walailak University, organized an additional dog and cat sterilization campaign to help control companion-animal populations, reduce the number of stray animals, and lower the risk of rabies—an important zoonotic disease.
The campaign involved 125 participants, including faculty members, scientists, and first- through fifth-year veterinary students, who worked together to deliver the service. In addition to benefiting the community, the activity provided students with an important opportunity to learn and practice in a real-world setting under expert supervision, strengthening their readiness for future professional veterinary practice.
