Veterinary Students Join the 2026 Wai Khru Ceremony, Honoring Teachers and Preserving a Cherished Tradition
On 2 July 2026, students of Akkhraratchakumari Veterinary College, Walailak University, took part in the Wai Khru Ceremony for Academic Year 2026 in the Si Thammarat Conference Room on the third floor of the Architecture and Design Building. The ceremony preserved a valued Thai tradition and enabled students to express gratitude to the teachers who impart knowledge and wisdom.
This year’s ceremony was held under the theme “Prehistoric Creatures Bow in Reverence to the Teachers Who Create Wisdom.” Students worked together to create imaginative ceremonial trays that conveyed creativity, unity, and respect while reflecting both the identity of the veterinary profession and their distinctive imagination.
In addition to preserving Thailand’s cultural heritage, the activity encouraged students to recognize the value of their profession, gratitude, and commitment to learning as they develop into knowledgeable and ethical veterinarians dedicated to serving society.
