On 28 March 2025, staff members from Akkhararatchakumari Veterinary College, Walailak University, gathered to participate in Thai culture. This special event marked the 33rd anniversary of Walailak University’s founding.
The ceremony took place beside the Thaiburi Building in a simple yet warm atmosphere. University administrators, faculty, staff, and students came together in large numbers to make merit, share good wishes, and express their gratitude to their beloved institution.

A Buddhist chanting ceremony, known as Thaksinaphan, was also held to dedicate merits to Professor Dr. Wijit Srisoan. The event was conducted with great respect and solemnity.

This meaningful occasion provided a valuable opportunity for everyone to uphold cherished traditions, foster good fortune, and honor those who have contributed greatly to Walailak University. It also reflected the strong sense of unity and spirit among the Walailak University community.

Akkhraratchakumari Veterinary College organized a training session on “How to Raise a Happy and Healthy Cat” for students from Kalyanisirithammarat School. Assoc.Prof.Dr. Tuempong Wongtawan and Asst.Prof.Dr. Worakan Boonhoh, faculty members of Akkhraratchakumari Veterinary College, served as lecturers, providing knowledge on cat nutrition, care methods, essential supplies, disease prevention, cat play, behavior, and mental health. This training enabled the participating students to effectively apply the knowledge gained to their own cats.

On 20-21 April 2024, Akkhararajakumari Veterinary College of Veterinary Medicine, has organized a workshop on stray dog population control through sterilization surgery for rabies control. Together with the WVS Thailand Foundation, WVS Thailand and The Siam Cement (Thung Song) Company Limited focus on adding social value by helping to control the stray dog population living in the company’s area. Siam Cement (Thung Song) Co., Ltd. reduces the problem of stray dogs without owners. In addition, the focus is on reducing the risk of disease outbreaks of various diseases that can be spread from stray dogs.
